Biba Accessories

By  |

I have always loved Biba and the Biba accessories are in a class of their own.

This fashion label defined the sixties style, loved my models and rock stars everywhere.

In the 1960s, Biba had trend led clothing that was cheap to buy making it a favourite.

The first Biba boutique opened in Kensington London in 1964 by Barbera Hulanicki, followed by two more in the Kensington area before the brand exploded in the 1970s.

After a chequered history, closures and reinventions, House of Fraser, the department store retailer now has the brand.

Their in-house designers now work hard to bring us unique designs in womenswear and accessories that the brand was once famous for.

I love this brand, because even though the prices have increased since the 1960s, Biba is still accessible for my wallet.

Fashionable, glamourous, stylish with just a little bit of an edge.

Biba is for the style conscious fashionista not afraid to look unique or flamboyant.

My latest Biba purchases are to accompany a ‘lipstick’ blouse that I bought not long ago, I blouse that for a beauty blogger is I think made for me!

Biba Accessories clutch and earrings 2015

Biba Accessories

Art Deco Clutch Bag

  • I think this looks far more expensive than the £59 price tag.
  • The design work is fabulous and I know already, on my night out I’ll get asked where I bought it from.
  • You can wear it as an over the shoulder, or you can detach the chain to make it a clutch.
  • Easy to open, there is plenty of room for money, keys and a mobile.

Rhodium Crystal Earrings

  • The earrings are for pierced ears, a supported back ensures they are comfortable to wear.
  • Priced at a reasonable £40, these rhodium crystal earrings are designer through and through.
  • Sitting proud on the ear and just big enough to shout classy not trashy, these are going to be my go to earrings for evenings out.

I have many Biba pieces, both womenswear and accessories and to me this isn’t through away fashion.

These are pieces that will stay in my wardrobe or later on be delicately wrapped in tissue paper and stored away as a reminder of a time in fashion.

Biba accessories, once you have one piece, I know, like me you’ll be back for more.
