Beautyblender Sponges, ever used them?
To be honest I hadn’t, I’ve always been a fan of just using my fingers to blend my foundation.
Then one Sunday afternoon I was scouring the beauty websites out there looking for something new to try, when I came across the Beautyblender sponge duo with a 150ml of Liquid Blender Cleanser.
Alright I thought; let me see what all the fuss is about!
Beloved for its elliptical shape, the Beautyblender sponges hug the face to blend and blur liquids, creams and powder cosmetics.
They work their magic on foundations, blushers, contour and highlighting products to achieve that airbrushed finish that we are all want to see looking back at us in the mirror.
What I noticed when I used the Beautyblender sponges was that I was using much less foundation than I would do normally.
My foundation didn’t sink into the sponge either, so no product wastage.
The rounded end is perfect for applying product to larger areas of your face, whilst the pointed end allows you to get into all those nooks and crannies like around your nose or covering a pesky spot!
I am a total convert!
How To Use Beautyblender Sponges
- Dampen the sponge (it expands to almost double its size when wet)
- Squeeze out any excess water.
- Apply dots of product onto your face.
- Then ‘bounce’ the Beautyblender sponge over your skin in a patting motion to achieve that flawless effect.
The sponge is latex free, long lasting and easy to clean.
Just wash the sponges regularly with the Liquid Blender Cleanser, squeeze out the water and allow to dry naturally.
I’ve been using, washing and reusing my sponges for around two months now and they are still going strong!
If I get a stubborn stain , for example from a liquid blusher I will pour a small amount of the cleanser into a bowl of water and let it soak for a couple of hours, the stain disappears no problem.
Where To Buy Beautyblender Sponges
If like me you want to try another method of applying your makeup, I would definitely recommend trying the Beautyblender sponges, it’s been a pleasant surprise really!
