A day out at Marwell Zoo – This Easter weekend I decided to eat lots of chocolate and re-live my childhood by visiting Marwell Zoo, Winchester, Hampshire.
When my family and I used to travel from Derbyshire down to the coast on holiday we always used to pay Marwell Zoo a visit, as we are a family of animal lovers.
As a child I remember there being lots of walking involved, but I think that’s because I had little legs then and the hills seemed like mountains.
I’m a big penguin lover, not the chocolate bars but the feathered variety. I think it’s because when they run they really make me laugh! Such characters! I have a secret wish to be able to feed some one day, well maybe it’s not so secret now!
Anyway, taking my Sister Suzie along with me, we made a day of it.
Now, whilst taking my photos, it became apparent really early on that many of my photos told a funny story.
So in tribute to many of my favourite beauty brands and people I’ve met along the way and in true Johnny Morris/Animal Magic style. You do your own funny voices! This is my light hearted appreciation of you all and a reminder that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously. I love you all guys!
A Day Out At Marwell Zoo
Geraldine, do you think I need to start using StriVectin neck cream yet?
I’m having a total style crisis, someone get me Mikey on the phone!
Look, I’ve been using Ultrasun SPF 50, but nobody said use it on your bottom!
Henrietta, your skin is looking line free and full of moisture, what’s your secret?
Glamglow YouthMud darling, I’m wearing it now.
I need hydration quick! Somebody get me a Collagen Shot!
Sorry guys, no pictures until Leighton has filed and painted my nails!
Mariah was adamant she wasn’t being interviewed today!
Can you see how my Daniel Sandler Billion Dollar Body Shimmer has highlighted and elongated my best features?
Do you mind, I’m self tanning with James Read!
My ghd straighteners are broken!
I’m thinking I need some Color Wow!
A lovely day out was had by all. Particularly as some of the animals are within touching distance and you can mingle with the birds, they are very friendly!
Once inside, there are places where you can buy food, but I suggest on a lovely warm day you take a picnic with you as there are lots of picnic tables available.
Admission prices for Marwell Zoo vary depending on the time of the year and whether you want to make a donation. See the website for details.
Marwell is a charity dedicated to conserving species and their habitats, so we happily made a donation. You can adopt an animal if you want to! Not to take home obviously! Unless you have a convertible you’d never get a giraffe home! 🙂
A day out at Marwell Zoo is a fabulous day out and I’ll be back again soon!
