NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum

By  |

This is the next instalment in my NIOD skincare series, this piece is about the fabulous NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum.

This serum is one of two serums that NIOD recommend you use together as core staples in your NIOD skincare regime.

The other serum I will be discussing in another post, so if you decide to try the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum on its own you still can.

You just slot it into your usual skincare routine, the serum being applied as the first step after using your cleanser and before your moisturiser.

If you’re trying the whole NIOD range and are using both serums, then this serum would be the one you apply first after using the NIOD Low Viscosity Cleaning Ester.

As I’ve said in previous posts, NIOD is all about promoting skin health and this serum is a must when you see the first signs of aging.

But if like me, you’re in your late forties or beyond this brand can still work wonders for your skin.

Price points are more than reasonable for a brand that uses cutting edge scientific technologies to deliver results.

Now, before we can use the product, we have to become a bit of a scientist ourselves!

Don’t let this worry you!

It’s a lot of fun and so simple to do.

How To Mix The NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum

  1. You have two bottles, one of which looks like there is nothing in it.
  2. This empty looking bottle contains the pure copper peptide.
  3. The liquid in the one bottle will start off clear.
  4. Tip this clear liquid (activator) into the other bottle labelled serum.
  5. Screw the top onto this bottle.
  6. Shake well for about ten seconds

The liquid will now have turned blue.

If you have instructions on the bottles to carry out this method of mixing then the bottle must now be stored in the fridge.

Just to confuse the matter, there is no copper in copper peptide! Copper peptides attract copper!

We need copper peptides to be able to utilise copper.

We also need copper for our body to repair itself.

We have a lot of copper peptides in our body throughout our childhood, but from our early 20’s this starts to deplete.

That’s where this serum starts to work it’s magic!

As you apply this serum to your skin, you will notice that it feels like water on your skin.

This is because this NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum has a low viscosity; in fact the viscosity of this serum is lower than water!

A lower viscosity means that seconds after you’ve applied the serum you won’t feel it on your skin, it’ll have been absorbed.

This is what you want a results driven serum to do, you don’t want it sitting on the surface of your skin.

Or even worse, transferring to your pillow or clothing.

How To Use NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum

  1. Shake the bottle.
  2. Take a few drops in the palms of your hands.
  3. Working quickly, smooth the serum onto your skin.
  4. NIOD say you can use this serum under your eyes but I don’t take it that far, I use a specific eye product for this area.
  5. Wait a few seconds and then if you are applying just this serum you can then apply your moisturisers.
  6. Use this serum as part of both your morning and evening skincare routine for best results.

My Results After Six Weeks

  • I’ve used this serum on its own with a moisturiser on top for two weeks.
  • It took seven days before I started seeing positive changes.
  • My skin tone evened out.
  • My skin appeared glass like in texture.
  • Fine lines at the top of my cheeks appeared less visible.

After the six weeks, I then began using the other serum in the NIOD range in conjunction with this copper serum; my next post will detail my results further.

To supercharge your usual skincare routine, I thoroughly recommend you try this serum.

I bought my serum from QVC.

But if you’re trying the whole NIOD range, the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum is part of a skincare delivery system that truly delivers.
