Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic

By  |

Amongst other skin concerns, do you have dull ageing skin that needs a tonic? If it’s a yes, then Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic could be for you!

This glow tonic with ginseng, aloe vera and fructose helps to give your skin that much needed boost.

Especially in the colder winter months.

With 5% glycolic, a natural derivative of sugar cane and a member of the alpha-hydroxy family, this Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic will gently remove dead skin cells leaving behind healthy looking skin.

Alcohol free with botanical extracts and hypoallergenic this tonic has worked wonders on my combination, sensitive skin over a six week period.

It’s evened out my complexion, leaving it brighter and clearer.

The texture of my skin is much smoother; it has a glass like finish.

This tonic is a gentler version of a glycolic tonic I regularly use three times a week, but with the Pixi Tonic I haven’t felt a tingle on my skin after applying it.

Aloe has hydrated and soothed my skin while ginseng has promoted great cell health and vibrant skin.

Witch Hazel has firmed and toned my skin, while horse chestnut has boosted blood flow leaving my complexion fresh and dewy.

How To Use Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic

  • The bottle says use after cleansing both morning and at night.
  • Saturate a cotton cleansing pad with the tonic.
  • Avoiding the eye area, sweep across your face, neck and décolletage.

To be honest, because this product contains glycolic and I have sensitive skin I prefer to use it just at night because I don’t want to exfoliate my skin twice a day.

I don’t follow with a night time moisturiser; I’ve found it works better for me.

Would I Recommend Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic?

  • If you have tried higher strength glycolic based products before and found they irritated your skin, try this one, I have sensitive skin and I’ve not experienced any irritation.

All year round, I always use a daytime moisturiser with an SPF anyway.

But it’s really important to use an SPF if you’re using any glycolic based product.

If you have any signs of sun damage, fine lines, scarring or any other skin imperfections that you aren’t happy with then I would say Pixi Glow Exfoliating Tonic is well worth trying for yourself.

I’ve had so many people recommend this to me but I just haven’t got round to buying it yet. I do have scarring on my face and I’ve heard this is better/a replacement for an exfoliater! I have sensitive skin too so I’m glad it hasn’t aggravated yours!

Hi Charlotte, thanks for getting in touch. I love this product, if you have sensitive skin like mine then I would recommend it. I don’t use an exfoliator and I couldn’t use a granular exfoliator ever! In conjunction with the Pixi Glow Tonic I also use an electric cleansing brush three times a week, I find this helps get rid of dead skin cells and hoovers out my pores.
