Avocado Chocolate Shake, I’ve been making this delicious shake for years and it’s my favourite drink post workout.
It refuels my body with lots of the good stuff and it’s a meal in itself.
I love it so much that I’m going to share it with you all!
Because it’s too great tasting to keep it all to myself!
My recipe serves 2 people or 3 if you’re using the 250ml glass bottles.
I love little bottles!
Or you could just pop it into one large bottle if you’re doing a heavy workout!
It’s so quick and simple to make that I’m sure you’ll be coming back for more, and more!!
Avocado Chocolate Shake
- 1 small peeled banana, chopped and frozen
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tsp Lucy Bee Coconut Oil (my favourite coconut oil)
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 tbsp of manuka honey
- A tiny pinch of salt
Method
Blend all of the ingredients and 750ml of cold mineral or filtered water in a blender until smooth and creamy.
I find the Lucy Bee Coconut Oil to have a more delicate flavour that doesn’t overpower the rest of the ingredients.
If you like a looser shake like I do, then you can add more water to the mix.
Pour into tall glasses.
Or for a more retro feel, fill three small glass bottles and add a straw for a throw back to school days!
Once made, mine keeps well in the fridge for a couple of hours before I go to the gym.
Just give the bottle a good shake before you drink it to get all those delicious flavours combined.
Yummy!
