Being over 40 years of age, I’m always on the hunt for skincare that will work hard for my aging skin, so I was delighted to be gifted the Superdrug Optimum PhytoDeluxe Skincare to test out for myself.

As we age, our skin often starts to become dull looking and less plump.

For me, that means increasing the number of times I exfoliate my skin per week, drinking more water and finding other ways to help me reduce the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles.

As I’ve got older, it’s easy to be persuaded to part with ridiculous amounts of cash to find that miracle cream that will take ten years off me.

I’ve placed my order, spent my money and then been left feeling let down because there was no miracle!

Believe me I’ve done it so many times!

But thanks to the advances in technology, there are companies out there striving to give us those great creams without taking all of our hard earned cash in return.

Superdrug has now extended their hugely popular Optimum PhyoDeluxe skincare line and I was lucky enough to receive the day and night cream to test out.

Firstly, I have to say that the packaging is fabulous and the pumps make it not only easy to dispense the product but it’s also very hygienic.

There is no dipping your fingers into pots that don’t come with spatulas, this really irritates me!

The unique ingredients help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst improving the bounce of your skin.

The Superdrug Optimum PhytoDeluxe day and night creams are priced at £14.99 each, the product formulation comparable to skincare on the market selling for extremely high price points.

Making this, in my opinion, a range to definitely put to the test.

Both creams are rich in amino acids which help to improve the tone and moisture balance of your skin, thus ensuring hydrated and healthy skin.

Clinically proven to boost collagen levels (the ingredient that keeps your skin plump) these creams will help to iron out your wrinkles!

Having used both of these creams for 6 weeks, I noticed that my skin definitely felt plumper.

The creams are light weight so they haven’t clogged my pores causing any breakouts.

  • They’re extremely cooling on the skin, so if any ladies out there are having any tropical moments, this might be a good range to try.
  • The scent is very delicate, not overwhelming and they were quick to sink into my skin with no greasy residue making the day cream a great base for makeup.
  • The night cream wasn’t heavy at all, so I didn’t wake up with a shiny face or product left on my pillowcase.

If you’re over 40 and looking to upgrade your skincare at a cost that’s affordable, I would definitely recommend the Superdrug Optimum PhyoDeluxe skincare range. What have you got to lose? Apart from wrinkles that is!
