Maca chocolate pudding with Alpro? What’s that? I hear you say!
Well, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, I love desserts or as I like to call them, puddings!
If I go out to a restaurant, I always look at the dessert menu first and there is no way I wouldn’t have a pudding, I would sooner do without a starter.
So, I’m always trying to create healthy puddings, you know the ones that you don’t feel guilty for devouring.
A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips being that famous saying!
But my moto is a little bit of what you fancy never hurt anybody.
So when Alpro sent me a couple of their products to try, I decided a pudding was in order!
Alpro Coconut Cuisine can be used in not only desserts but soups, curries and recipes where you would use a wok.
Don’t you think my dessert looks really naughty?
Thick and glossy, a rich chocolate pudding that oozes decadence, but is actually good for you.
This wonderful healthy pudding is rich in good fats; the addition of maca helps support the adrenal glands and balances hormones.
For me, it’s a great post-exercise snack that satisfies my chocolate cravings.
This recipe serves two people.
Maca Chocolate Pudding

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2tsp maca powder
- 30g raw cacao powder
- 60g coconut nectar
- 8tbsp Alpro Coconut Cuisine
Method
- Place all of the ingredients in a blender and process until thick and smooth, I’ve added eight tablespoons of the Alpro Coconut Cuisine to get the thickness that I wanted, but you experiment and see what’s right for you.
- Spoon into bowls or like me, little glass jars because I like to put a screw top on the jar and take it with me to the gym.
So easy to make, Maca, chocolate pudding with Alpro is my little taste of chocolate heaven!
